It’s been a year… well technically it’s been a couple of years! For businesses, families, individuals… well really, for all of us!! But it looks like we are finally seeing some light at the end of this very long tunnel. (Crossing our fingers and toes right now hoping that this remains true!!)
That being said, with the lifting of restrictions comes an entirely new set of challenges for those of us in hospitality – Thanks for that~!
For the first time in nearly 2 years we will be able to open our bookings for our full capacity… if, and only if, we follow government and health regulations that have been laid out for hospitality businesses in QLD. (Yay, more rules for us to learn and enforce – we were getting bored with the ones we already had!)
What does this mean for you, if you’re visiting us?
These new mandates from the QLD government mean that from the 17th of December we will require all guests over 16 years of age to be vaccinated and show proof of their double vaccination upon entry.
What does this mean for us?
It means that we’re able to fill our farm and our events for the first time in nearly 2 years. It means we can bring on more staff, many of whom we had to say goodbye to at the start of COVID.
Look, trust us, we know rules aren’t easy, especially when they change more often than the weather but these rules ensure your safety, the safety of our team and allow everyone to have a great time on their visit to Awassi Cheesery. These rules also ensure that we can remain open and welcome more of you to our beautiful farm.
It’s going to be interesting times ahead for all hospitality businesses so please be patient and understanding with us, like you the last couple of years hasn’t been easy for us… so please, be kind.
